Sturek Media, Inc. is the proud owner of two weekly newspapers in northeast Nebraska — The Pender Times and Dakota County Star. We are a family-owned business of first generation newspaper publishers, starting with the Times in March 2009 and the Star in December 2016. We believe that newspapers provide a unique and vital service to the communities they serve, highlighting the accomplishments and explaining the challenges of Thurston and Dakota Counties, as well as providing a written history for future generations.
